You bring up a good point, David, but I’m not sure it’s the time when you’re talking that you learn something new. As you note, you end up talking, then asking others about what you said, and then you learn based on the feedback. Granted, I didn’t note that in my write-up, but it’s a good point. The reactions that others have, both verbal and nonverbal, to what you say are also where you can learn a great deal.
