Yeah, I just don’t know about this. It seems way too accusatory to be effective as any kind of unifying document. This is what I would have said:

  1. The left is by its nature against oppression, which has thus far been suffered primarily by anyone who was not white, straight, male, Christian, and cisgender.
  2. There have been a decent amount of people who claim to be allies of the left, but who belittle the very real oppression of others.
  3. Those on the left cannot both (a) be on the left and (b) belittle the very real struggle of oppressed groups who are not white, straight, male, Christian, and cisgender.
  4. Please be understanding and respectful, which we will be to you, even if you aren’t to us — because we’re cool people!

*Note to logic nerds: this was not meant to be a syllogism.
