This is a great question. As a manager myself, I also find myself having to think about this quite often. What I settled on is that each of my team members’ Key objectives for the year or on my projects list. For any of their deliverables that directly relate to those key objectives, I’ll keep track of them as part of their project, and put it in the “waiting for” stack.
