Meredith, I appreciate the input of a published author on this matter, and I take your point about research regarding scrolling issues, etc. I wonder though: you say that one word or one sentence paragraphs enhance comprehension. What is the reader comprehending when they read a one-sentence paragraph? Is it the same as if they were reading that sentence with the other sentences? Doesn’t flow and the grouping of sentences into a discrete entity play a role in comprehension?
I guess I’ll have to read the research — which I’m doubting is published in single sentence paragraphs.
