I've got to ask: how does this way of conversing with people normally play out for you? Do they stay engaged? Do you walk away glad you had the interaction? Do you learn something from the other person?

I ask because the way you began and continued this interaction seemed evasive and condescending. I don't imagine that earns you any level of sustained interactions with people.
