I’m interested in how exactly this refutes my thesis. To be precise, I’m not saying that you should think you won’t achieve your goals. I’m just saying that there is power in assuming that you will try to squirm out of your goals in order to slide back in your comfort zone.

But I guess your comment warrants me publishing a caveat: if you have thus far been able to achieve your goals without having broken resolutions and given way to laziness and procrastination, this article is not for you. Also, most self-help writing is not for your either — after all you’re crushing it by just thinking positively. Keep it up!
