Gail, I totally forgot to respond to you on this one. I love how they talk about WK Clifford and the ethics of belief. I was fascinated with that topic in grad school. I had a philosophy of religion seminar, and my final paper dealt with where the burden of proof lies with respect to arguing about God’s existence. I leaned heavily on Clifford for that.
