Funny you mention Newport. I just finished Deep Work, which is engaging and has useful suggestions in it. The somewhat “anti-passion” message is also a part of Deep Work, but implicitly so. Chasing passion is what we tend to do when we’re getting distracted, and so Newport deals with that a bit in the book.
