Fair enough. I can see how something like that would be distracting, but here’s what’s bugging me: unless you have done that calculation before, how would you even catch it by just looking at it. It was 1 hour off. 1 hour! What’s more, it then translates to a .1 hour issue with the next sentence, but then doesn’t affect any of the rest of the article.
As for your comment “I loved how the percentages add up to more than 100%”. I’m just not sure what to make of it. I’m going to assume it’s a joke, because in reading the article, I know that you saw the percentages are not part of the same equation, but rather 3 separate equations.
And as for the private note option. I would recommend it for things like this, where the issue seems to be an inconsequential calculation error or typo. If anything, it just makes you as the responder look more helpful. The response option is great for disagreements and discussion — which I enjoy as part of the platform.
