Excellent question! There is the option for extra credit points--for things that pop up, and that you take care of.

But part of the system is to push yourself to think about those possibilities seriously. If it's something important that could pop up, think about that while filling your card out. If it pops up, but is NOT on your card--ask yourself "is this more important than the things on the card?"
