Our situations sound very similar. I stay at a jobby-job because of the consistent pay and benefits. Don’t get me wrong — the company is cool to work for, but it’s not a sexy industry or job description.

I have 1 paid writing gig that I’m nearly done with now. I don’t believe my name will be attached to it publicly, either. But it was enjoyable work, because like you, I enjoy writing.
